Oh No…We’ve Gone from 50 to 150!

Yupp…It’s your wedding and just like that your friend and family circle has suddenly expanded. Welcome to one of the biggest sources of conflict between a couple and a very tricky and crucial part of your wedding. Your guest list determines a lot of your major decisions such as venue and catering decisions. Decide early how many people you plan on inviting based on budget and stick to it. I REPEAT… “STICK TO IT.”

Brides, a little tip here, learn to say 'no' and not feel bad about it. It’s no secret that weddings are terribly pricey and although we would love to have everyone that we’ve had a special moment with, it simply is just not possible. So when Mom reminds you to invite Uncle Bob and Aunty May that you haven’t heard from or seen since your 5th birthday party, politely say 'no.' All in all, your guest list should primarily include the people that hold the greatest significance in your life. When this is considered, narrowing down your list comes much easier.

  1. I can't agree more about sticking to your guest list limit! Not only is it important to respect your budget but it also gives your wedding a much more intimate vibe when you're surrounded by people you actually want there!
